Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions?
What is the COVID19 Policy?
As part of the province wide effort to mitigate and prevent the spread of COVID-19, proof of double-vaccination is required for participants 12 and up, subject to trends in public health and health system indicators
What is included with your program packages and what can I expect?
Gear, gas and guide – everything is included. We provide you with all the proper riding gear, from head to toe, along with the latest in Yamaha off-road vehicles and a certified instructor. Once you are comfortable and confident operating the machine, a guide will lead you around a safe course.
It is my first time is this OK?
You have come to the right place; we specialize in first timers! We will take the time to show you all the controls and give you a chance to practice on the machine. Once you are comfortable with operating the unit, a guide will lead you on the tour.
Where do we go and what are your trails like?
All our trails are on private property. We do not ride or drive on the side of any road or cross any roads, and we do not encounter any other Snowmobiles or off-road vehicles. All our trails are maintained by our own staff to ensure they are safe to ride. The trails can be challenging but are taken at slow speeds.
What is the difference between an ATV and a side-by-side?
An ATV is meant for one rider only and is a bit more physical than a side-by-side. An ATV is steered with a handlebar system and more effort is required for cornering and manoeuvring around obstacles. A side-by-side is much like a small open Jeep. Everyone is strapped into a seat with the seat belt, and the steering wheel, gas pedal and brakes are the same configuration as a car. The side-by-side can carry up to three passengers, while the ATV is for a single rider.
What are the options for carrying passengers on a snowmobile?
Snowmobiles can carry 2 people, the rider and the passenger. The passenger must be at least 6 years old and 42” (inches) in height.
What are the options for carrying passengers in the side-by-side?
A side-by-side can carry up to three passengers in addition to the driver, who must have a valid G2 or G driver’s licence. Children can be passengers but must be at least six years old.
How old does a child have to be to ride the youth snowmobile?
A child needs to be at least six years old and 42” (inches) tall. The maximum weight for a youth snowmobile is 125lbs.
How old does a child have to be to ride an adult Snowmobile?
You must be 16 years of age or older and have a driver’s licence or a motorized snow-vehicle operator’s licence (not both) to drive a snowmobile.
Can a child in the youth program and parents in the adult program ride together?
Unfortunately, riders in the youth and adult programs can’t ride together due to the difference in machine size. The youth program is half an hour and that time is generally more than enough for kids. Our adult programs offer passenger options for snowmobiles and side-by-sides. If a family wants to ride together on snowmobiles or in the side-by-side and have the child participate in the 30-minute fun ride, this can be done back-to-back and is a very popular option.
What time should we arrive and how do we get there?
You should arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled ride start time. We are located at the Adventure Park at 1180 Highway 60. We are still on the Deerhurst property, just a short five-minute drive away from the main resort building.
How will the booking charge appear on my credit card statement?
The charge will appear as Yamaha Financial Services.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation can be done at any time up until 48 hours before your booking time without any penalty. If there is a case of a “customer no show”, there will be a charge towards your credit card. To complete a cancellation please call the Tour Operator.

There are some higher speed sections, but this is a real cross section of Muskoka scenery.

How old does a child have to be to ride the youth ATV?
A child needs to be at least six years old. However, their size is even more important. We have three different machine.
How old does a child have to be to ride an adult ATV?
A child’s age is not as important as their size. A rider must be at least 135 pounds in order to hold the machine in corners and prevent it from tipping over. It is too dangerous to allow anyone under 135 pounds to ride an adult ATV.
Can a child in the youth program and the parents in the adult program ride together?
Unfortunately, riders in the youth and adult programs can’t ride together due to the difference in machine size. Youth ATVs have small wheels and do not have four-wheel drive. This makes it impossible for a child to ride the terrain in the adult’s two-hour program. The youth program is half an hour and that time is generally more than enough for kids. If you want to ride together as a family, we suggest the side-by-side program as that allows for passengers. If a family wants to ride together in the side-by-side and have the child participate in the 30-minute fun ride, this can be done back-to-back and is a very popular option.
